Aaron Donaldson

Aaron is responsible for the information technology (IT) consulting areas of the Mason City and Des Moines, Iowa, offices, as well as the Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, offices. In addition to his geographical responsibilities, he also leads up our managed IT services division (MITS) and participates with our cloud solutions team. He focuses on network design, assessment and implementation, as well as business continuity project management and website development.

Aaron provides high-level design work for clients focusing on storage and virtualization solutions, as well as long-haul wireless solutions. In addition, he has provided virtual chief information officer services to multiple organizations and assists with our advisory group performing technology assessments.

Aaron has over 20 years of experience providing clients with IT services, with experiences that began with Novell Netware, up to Windows 2008, Exchange 2010, VMware, Citrix, SAN Technologies, Cisco Firewall and Switching, and many other line-of-business applications. He spends most of his time helping clients identify current or future pain points and providing valuable recommendations and solution plans to address those points, while always keeping an eye on the business needs as opposed to the technology wants.

Aaron works extensively with clients needing real-world advice and assistance in regards to their business needs, security requirements and organizational constraints, and he excels in finding a way to ensure success.

Most recently, Aaron has been integral to the development of RSM’s MITS offerings, as well as enhancements and growth in our cloud service offerings. In 2010, Aaron and RSM were recognized by MSPMentor as a Top 250 MSP (Managed Service Provider) individual, and again by CRN as a Most Innovative MSP. Aaron has more recently begun working on assisting our clients as they transition their technology to cloud environments by assisting in selection, analysis, planning or migration. Many of these migrations have been to RSM’s own cloud data center.
