Speakers – Fall 2020 Chief Executive Officer Program

John Tranter has over 40 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry and has served as a passionate advocate for the industry through his role as Chairman of the Florida Bankers Association, one of the largest state banking associations in the country.

Sean Payant, Chief Consulting Officer, served as the Executive Director of the Schools of Banking for nine years prior to joining Haberfeld. He has administered, instructed, and authored materials for 17 different banking schools attended by bankers from 18 states.

Jimmy Sawyers helps banks tackle issues ranging from strategic technology planning and system selection to cybersecurity and enterprise risk management. Prior to co-founding Sawyers & Jacobs LLC, he worked as a community banker, in the consulting division of a CPA firm, and at a tech startup.

John Adams serves as Principal and Head of Investment Banking for Sheshunoff & Co Investment Banking. He has been involved in over 100 successful merger transactions representing both buyers and sellers, focused on merger and acquisition advisory services, capital issuance, and debt placement. His background includes buy-side and sell-side engagements, merger negotiation and structuring, financial analysis and industry research.

Dr. Ed Seifried is currently Executive Consultant and Chief Economist of the Sheshunoff Affiliation Programs and Chairman of Seifried & Brew West. He is also Professor Emeritus of Economics and Business at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. Dr. Ed also serves as the Dean of the Virginia and West Virginia Banking Schools and has served on the faculty of numerous banking schools.
