Karen Freeman has a passion for banking and advancement. She is a speaker with Sheshunoff’s BankersWeb online training and webinar division and has led sessions on evolving trends, self-service banking, marketing, and emerging payment solutions. She along with two other speakers administered the BankersWeb Electronic Banking Certification Series for eight consecutive years.

Karen is the Vice President of Community Engagement at Leaders Credit Union, where she leads the business development and community financial wellness efforts.  She is also a member of the credit union’s growing marketing department.

Leaders Credit Union is an innovative financial institution headquartered in Jackson, Tennessee, approaching $500 million in assets and servicing over 55,000 members.  Prior to joining Leaders CU, Karen was a Vice President/Manager for First Citizens National Bank, a community bank with approximately $1.7 billion in assets.

Karen holds a BA in communication from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She resides in Alamo, Tennessee, with her husband and two children.
